Hello I'm new to OCing. Here is what I've put together:
AMD FX-6300
ASUS M5A97 R2
SAPPHIRE HD 7850 2GB
CORSAIR CX600M
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB x 1 (a second is on it's way)
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
Antec Three Hundred case with stock fans + 3x COUGAR CF-V12HP added.

I've watched some youtube videos on OCing and they are all for finding the fastest OC possible. I'd like someone to recommend setting for me to plug into my ASUS bios that should work, then I'll test the stability and temps in Prime95 and hopefully call it good. I think a 4.2 or 4.3 MHz OC is considered modest on this CPU and those speeds should be fine for me right now.

If possible, I'd like to keep some of the power saving programs running, as well as I use this system to game but also spend a good amount of time web programing where I don't need maxed settings.

biggest thing you can do is watch your heat, the worst it will do is turn off if you have it all setup in the bios, mine shuts down at 90, and its done it (im using the 8350) hyper 212 plus won't go as far as water will just remember that when comparing to others

90°C? man that seems high. I thought you wanted to stay under 60°C.

Well I tinkered around last night and have things running stable.
Most everything is on Auto with these exceptions:
Ai Overclock: Manual
Turbo CORE Tech: Disabled
CPU Ratio: 21.5
CPU Bus Frequency: 200 (default but set manually)
PCIE Frequency: 100 (default but set manually)
Memory Frequency: DDR3-1600MHz (default but set manually)
CPU/NB Frequency: 2200MHz

CPU Load Line Calibration: Enabled
CPU/NB Load Line Calibration: Enabled

CPU & NB Voltage: Manual Mode
CPU Voltage: 1.3256v
CPU/NB Voltage: 1.2256v

I set the DRAM Timing to the XMP profile settings for my ram which is 9-9-9-24, tRC: 37, CR: T2
Isn't it odd that you can't select an XMP profile when using manual mode in ASUS' bios?

This has passed all 3 test in PRIME95 2hours each and a 30min OCCT CPU:Linepack test. (I'm not sure what the best test in OCCT is.

My temps, I think are actually really low but I have a question on this. Sorry for the bad phone image, my keyboard doesn't have a print screen button:
OCscreencap.jpg

This is as high as I've ever seen my temps during any of my tests.

Everything cool, settings and temp wise?

The only real issue I had was that when my CPU voltage was set to 1.3125 I would get a LOAD LINE error in Prime95. So I think 1.3256 is my minimum voltage for this setup. With LLC enabled the voltage goes up to 1.344 as you can see in the screen capture.

Any advise, suggestions or feedback will be appreciated.
