In control panel, go to devices, then Device Manager. In Device Manager, go under Display Adapters. Please post what is shown under there.

You just need the monitor connected to the mobo. I assume you have no graphics card. The 7540d is integrated not discrete. Make sure your drivers are up to date. http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

I see, there answers from different websites saying you need to go to your BIOS to enable you APU graphics.

If that's the only graphics device you have then that is the only way you can see anything on your monitor. So by default it is enabled. You just need to install the driver which is why it's saying "standard vga graphics adapter."

it's not discreet. it's "onboard". on the die ( processor ). no need to turn anything on. it already is.
