I need help selecting the best ram for my next PC gaming build. I was originally going to get Corsair Vengeance 2x 4GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144 because it is used all the time in builds and very reliable. However I was recommended G.Skill Sniper series RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460
and told it was faster and better. I have never bought any products from G.Skill so I don't know if they make good products, or are reliable. Both products are just about the same price so all I need to know is which one is better? Have you ever used G.Skill Sniper RAM before? I play FPS mainly if this affects performance.

Owning a "sniper 2133mhz CL11" kit and they run flawlessly at 2240mhz CL10 for about a year now, nothing to say comparing to OCZ platinum that failed on me and Crucial Ballistix causing random BSOD...

Had a Vengeance kit that come defect on arrival (i build about 10-15 Per year for friends, family, etc. and 1 kit out of 4 from Corsair Vengeance (1600mhz CL9) i've ordered arrived DOA, but they replace it with excuses and i had a 20$ rebate for my next Corsair purchase, considering i've paid 38$ for the ram last year, i'd say not bad at all !!!)

Either would be good but i'll buy other G.Skill, Corsair and Kingston ram anyday i'll need it as except 1 Vengeance, they all work flawlessly, Oc well and run long enough to change PC without...

I just bought these. G Skill 2x4GB 1866 CL 8 for $62.00. I compared the exact same RAM as you and chose these.

For me it's a no-brainer when it comes to theses manufacturer, i pick the cheapest between these 3 and/or the fastest availlable for the same price...
