Need Help With My Custom Build PC

Hey guys,

I live in ireland and i am deciding to make a custom build pc as i am fed up of the lag and low quality i experience with my current ASUS intel B820 1.7GHZ intel celuron laptop.

My budget is around 1000 euros and i have already lined up a few hopefuls for my new pc. I would expect my pc to run the following games at ultra settings.
-Infestation survivor stories
-Dayz
-Minecraft
-Terra
-Battlefield 3 and 4 when its out.

This is what i have in mind for now. I am only including a case, graphics card and processor in my list as i want you guys to help me with what else i need as this is my first custom build.

computer case -

The prices are also displayed so you know how much of my budget is being used.

I already have a mouse and keyboard and if anything from my laptop can be used i will use it. I also am willing to go 100 euro over budget only as a last resort.

Hi there,

I suggest you spend a little less on the motherboard as the one you have now (dont get me wrong its a great mobo) is more for enthusists and people running 3-4 way sli/crossfire. Here is one to go with the 4670k:

AsRock H87 Fatal1ty performance is a good motherboard with the same colour scheme.

What you need now is a PSU/RAM/COOLER and SSD/HDD?

Go with Corsair Vengeance ram as its cheap and reliable. Go for 1600mhz, i believe this is the sweet spot (You can overclock ram too if you want).

As for PSU go for 800-1000Watts as it give you the option to sli your graphics card if you ever want to upgrade.
Corsair and Seasonic are reliable brands. (Find as PSU with 80+ Bronze/silver/gold/plat certification).

first of all, rather go for a 4670k haswell processor and a newer mobo. it has a pretty big performance boost and is more future proof. 2nd you may want to get a more recent gpu such as a gtx 770(is is a very simmilar price.)

A cooler is optional as the cpu comes with a heatsiink. BUUUUUUT its a bad one.. really bad. If your not going to overclock or run your computer for days at a time then just go with the stock heatsink. Now if you want to do all this crazy stuff then fin a fan that is silent.. Here are a few of my favs:
> Thermaltake Frio OCK Silent
> Noctua NH-D14(or D12)
> Corsair H100i or H80i (Watercooling option (More expensive)).

For storage get a 128GB SSD for around $100 USD for your OS and 1-2TB HDD. Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm you can get for cheap now-a-day and is one of my fav drives!

You are right with AsRock being somewhat unreliable, but the price to performance is what im looking at. If you want to splash more money sure, i have an AsRock board and have had zero problems. I got it because it was $60 cheaper than the Gigabyte counterpart..
