Advice on RAM upgrade.

I am currently running a i7 950 Bloomfield @ 4.2ghz in a Rampage 3 Extreme with 6gb Trichannel memory. I am doing a minor upgrade with 2x SSD and a new set of RAM, with intentions of a mobo + cpu upgrade later down the line. I was looking at these two sets and would like advice on this.

why do you want new ram? you're better off using the triple channel now, and if you upgrade buy maybe quad / dual channel ram.

Also, the red mushkins are 1.65v so at least don't get them.

Hi friend, You already have good RAM so why you want to upgrade it, kindly tell me your aim for this only then i can give you a better advise.

To be honest with the amount of simulations I run for uni chem and multitasking I do with 2x 1920x1080 screens, I thought that 6gb ram was going to impede the performance boost I would get from using SSD's. If I am wrong then I thank you deeply for saving me money
