HI guys,

I finally got a Dell U2412M monitor, but have some issue regarding it;s Driver.
It;s CD has 2 set-up and i installed them both, but i am not getting it completely.

When i switch the monitor to vertical mode, the setting does not change automatically, means it is still in Landscape mode, do i have to do it manually to portrait mode?

Also, does DELL has some software which control the brightness as just like of Magic Tune in samsung?

You shouldn't need any software to make it work; I have the same screen.

There is a brightness setting in the OSD.

You can change the orientation with a keyboard shortcut built into windows. Might be able to do it automatically, but it should be fine without it.

EDIT:

It seems that it rotates the picture when you change the OSD setting, not based on an accelerometer. Unless you frequently use the OSD, just use Windows shortcuts. Ctrl + Alt + arrow keys.

OSD is fine. But MagicTune software was easy to use with Samsung, just use mouse to control the brightness and i feel very easy to use it. Does any kind of software comes for DELL?

About orientation: I read that it does automatically. Don;t know where. :( . Do you do it manually?

I don't rotate my display - wall mount makes it rather difficult. Fairly sure you need to tell it it's been rotated though; I don't think it's got an accelerometer.

You don't need to change the brightness that often though. And if you do, that's what the hotkeys on the display are for.
