Sorry if this is the wrong spot but I don't really know where to ask for help about this. My girlfriend has a 1.5Tb western digital usb 3.0 external drive, works fine most of the time though whenever we plug it into her TV to watch stuff the TV just turns off, sometimes it works fine other times to TV cycles on and off for an indefinite time-frame. I noticed If I plug it into her macbook then eject it and plug it back in it usually works, else wise nothing. Is it something to do with the HDD or the TV itself? It's such a strange thing not sure what to do.
