gigabyte intel g41 chipset combo board is not supporting the ddr3

ddr3 ram speed is 1066,1333,1600 mhz
240 pin
1.5v

What is the problem ? The g41 chipset should be able to work with ddr3. What ram are you using ?

Didn't realize this person posted previously. I posted in one of the other posts.

In the other post, it was stated that the old RAM was DDR2, which implies that the board only supports DDR2 (I know there are boards that support both, but Gigabyte doesn't make one that I am aware of)

P.S. To the original poster, multiple threads are not necessary. We can help just as well if posting is confined to one thread. It also makes things easier to understand.

*EDIT* Well, what do ya know, they do make a combo board. I stand corrected.

You can use either DDR2 or DDR3 memory, not both at the same time. Remove the DDR2 memory to run the DDR3 memory.

Did you try to remove the ddr2 , put in the ddr3 but before starting computer, clear cmos ?
