Cannot get PC to do video over DisplayPort

My workplace uses Dell Optiplex 7010's. Currently our users are using dual monitors involving a VGA and either a DisplayPort or USB adapter with a second VGA on that. My boss wanted me to investigate a better display solution. As the 7010's come stock with 2 DisplayPorts, and the jacks obviously work since we use a VGA adapter with them I decided to go with that. However, I cannot get any of the towers to do video over the DisplayPort with a normal display cable. The monitors are Dells as well, and have a DP on them. I have set them on screen to the DP input, and still nothing. Thoughts?

Dell P1913 monitors and the graphics are Intel HD Graphics. That was initially a concern of mine, but the Display port on the PC works when using an adapter for VGA, so I didn't think it would be totally unusable.

Right now I'm only testing 1 Displayport to 1 Monitor. I'll try 2 if I can get just 1 working. The tower has 2 onboard DP though, so there is no external card.

That one appears to be the model one size bigger than what I have. It doesn't have any cards on the back, the expansion slots all just have the metal fillers still in them.

Bios are already A14. I get nothing with the displayport connected. just says no connection detected entering powersave. But yeah that's the model.
