Hey guys,
I built a brand new rig around 3 weeks ago. It was running great for 2 weeks, and then while loading a game, the PC just shut off completely. When I tried to turn it back on, the lights and all fans came on for about half a second and then immediately shuts off.
Here's what I know:
1. It isn't the PSU. I switched it with a unit I know is working.
2. It isn't shorting on my case, I have it breadboarded.
3. It isn't the motherboard. I ordered a brand new one and I am having the exact same problem.
The behavior is the same no matter what components I have installed. The only thing I haven't tried is attempting to boot it up without the CPU.
Does anyone have any ideas? I feel like the only possibility left is that the CPU died, but that just seems so unlikely.
