What is seriously wrong with my computer?

I cannot play a game for more than 1 HOUR before this happens:

What could cause this? Everything is just frozen, and I'm forced to hold down the power button on my computer.

Any help would be amazing.

What computer is this? Any specs can help a great deal.
From what I can see it's a graphics card error/crash, due maybe to dated hardware and/or software (drivers).

Could be an overheating gpu. Run MSI afterburner and watch gpu temps. Or you can use gpuz and click "log to file" to record the temps.

Well, I'll buy a new Graphics card soon, anyway. I currently have an GIGABYTE GTS 250, and that is hell outdated. I hope this will fix it. Thanks a bunch for all the help.
