The 8400gs has bin running on a 250 watt PSU no problems for about a year now and i was hoping to get a card thats a little stronger but will still work with a 250 watt psu. Any ideas? I dont want to upgrade anything else simply because i plan on buying a brand new computer soon just need something to last a few months.

ATI 7750 GDDR5 model, doesn't need additional power.

You "could" even squeeze in a 7770 + one power connection, depending on the rest of your system and age of PSU.

im looking at my psu information im just gonna write how i see it because i dont know what any of this means

output +12v / 14a -12v
+5v / 25a +5vsb
+3.3v / 18a
+5v & 3.3v 165w max +5v & +12v 218w max

so yea i did http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine with everything selected i was at 218~ watts . thanks for the help and if anyone reads this and wouldnt mind explaining the PSU +12v and all that stuff that would be cool i would like to know more about it.

i think im going to go with a 5570 is this ok with my psu?

ok so what i got from it is the cpu and gpu use the +12v and since mine is 14a which i believe is 140watts? if so my cpu uses 65 so that leaves me with 75 watts for the gpu correct?
