Before i buy my gaming rig i need help. I would like to know if my rig will be able to play next gen games like Battlefield 4, GTA V (hopefully), Assassins creed IV, and watch dogs on high graphics settings. If you have a better build for me please comment the link and i will check it out.
Thank you!

Here is the build

It should play them, but the Octo Core CPU isn't really a plus. There isn't much out there that is optimized fpr multithreading, which is completely different from the performance. When it comes to Multithreading, AMD was up on Intel, but they still lagged in performance and have yet to catch up. To my knowlege, no games have been optimizrd for multithreading.

well, most games these days utilize at the very least 2 threads, and a few have even done 3 or 4. While Intel's performance is much better per thread, there are very few games (and i would dare to say this will include next gen as well) that would be too much for the current crop of AMD CPU's to handle, do they use more power and have higher utilization doing it? yes. but are they a great deal for a very capable cpu? yes.

keep the 8350 and buy a 770. no need to worry since the specs of both next gen consoles aren't even close. it will play anything the next gen can throw; albeit you're gonna need to lower the settings in about a year or two from max to high until eventually down to semi "console" settings in about 4 years.

no need to be defensive my friend. i wasn't talking about your post. in fact i've only read it when you replied to my post. i was simply replying to the OP and saying that his choice is good enough to for next gen though he may want some extra gpu horse power. seriously, have those nasty amd fanboys recently ruffled your feathers? they're pretty intense aren't they? :)

I moderate on another board, and it isn't Just the AMD / Nvidia Fanboys, you have Windows/ Mac and Playstation / Xbox. If the fanboys can find something to argue about, they will. I know what they are about, so I don't let them bother me. Although I prefer & use Intel Processors, I have recommended AMD on numerous occasions when budget was of a concern. I have always like the Phenom II x4 9xx BE series as they were very capable CPUs and still are. I have also bounced back and forth between ati / AMD and Nvidia GPUs. Wasn't really being defensive, just didn't want the poster to think I was dissing the processor. I have seen way to much of that. Some of which was justifiable and the reasons were given which were solid, but in far too many cases, it was somebody injecting their own personal preferance for no reason other than it was their preferance. When they do that and I see it, I will step in and get on them. :)

its good to know that were on the same boat. i must commend you with your job, as i will never ever even try to moderate between warring fanboys. its a place where reason and common sense goes to die. a barren wasteland in which only hate and rage are the only viable currency. as for the op, i can only suggest a better gpu if you want an extra layer of that good o'l sense of security, a gtx770 or 7970 (free games. SR4 now included). both are great choices.

I prefer to think of them as adults acting like 5 year olds. Yep, both of those GPUs are good choices and the PSU I mentioned up there will handle either one quite well. When I bought the GTX 560Ti ( it is in my Gateway Desktop now, running an i7 960 ) I got a FREE game with that. Forgot what it was, but didn't like it. Figured they couldn't sell the thing so they were giving it way with GPUs. :D
