all new custom pc wont get past the bios setup screen

ive ordered all new part from newegg and attempted to assemble a pc on my own. after i get everything hooked up it takes me to the first bios screen where it detects what i have hooked up but wont go any further. i know my video card and ram are good because i use them in another pc. please help?
