Upgrading from an i3-3245 to an i5-3350p

So the i5-3350p is 3.1 Ghz with turboboost up to 3.3 Ghz while the i3-3245 is 3.4 Ghz.

Am I gonna notice worse performance in 2 threaded games?

They may very well be identical its just tricky to tell without a controlled test with the same number of cores and the same clock speeds.

If anything I would think it would be better based solely on the fact that the other 2 cores can handle background tasks. However I think the i5-3350p has better per core performance although I don't have any data to back that up quite yet. Overall the i5-3350p is certainly a better processor especially in multi threaded games.

Hm I thought the cores were identical clock per clock
