i have dell precision T3400, and ram is 6.00 GB but 3.00 GB useable.. what should i do????

i have Dell Precision T3400 core 2 extreme cpu Q6800 2.93 Ghz, 2.93 Ghz..
the ram is 6.00GB but 3.00 Gb useable... what should i do????

You will need to do a clean install of 64-bit Windows to use all 6 GB of RAM. 32-bit Windows just cannot handle all 6 GB.

Are you using 32 or 64 bit Windows? 32 bit Windows usually will see less than 4 GB (specifically 4 GB minus any other memory installed in the computer, such as video card memory)
