Hi All,

So The rest of parts will be here tomorrow. I was looking at my motherboard (sabertooth z87) and cooler (H100i) and I noticed there are two kinds of standoff screws. One set (according to the h100i manual) are for LGA 115/1156 and the other is for LGA 2011. Does anyone know which set to use with the LGA 1150 (i7-4770K) that I'm getting?

As said above you would use the ones for 1155. I had the H100i cooling my i5 3570K rig I built in January but it went south a few days ago when the pump went out and the rgb light went out on it several month ago. Personally I would no longer recommend that kit myself. I just got a XSPC Raystorm 750 EX360 Extreme Universal CPU Water Cooling Kit and so far I really like it much better than any of the sealed units I have had http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21236/ex-wat-271/XSPC_Raystorm_750_EX360_Extreme_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_New_Rev_4_Pump_Included_w_Free_Dead-Water.html?tl=c83s137b49 .

Yea I hear ya, the more I read about the H100i the more I see bad reviews (It would be devastating to have it leak all over your system). I'm debating not even using it but I'm not sure. I think the default cooler that comes with the intel chip could be ok if I wasn't going to over clock it. I think I'll just secure the tubes with little cable ties to be safe.

I have the Asus Sabertooth z87 motherboard and the H100i as well.
The mounting bracket for the back of the motherboard didnt fit into the board at all.
The pins where way off. Do you even need the mounting bracket for a 1150 board?

How did you get the H100i to mount into the Sabertooth z87 board?

The pins on the mounting bracket actually slide to different positions, you can stretch them out or squeeze them in tighter.

Ahhhh that explains it. I dont have the H100i with me right now, but I did just see an image of the bracket on the Corsair website.
It does appear that the pins will slide.

Holding the actual bracket in my hand earlier today though, I could have sworn they were fixed. It just appeared that way.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I hooked it up first, then booted. It was fine. I would think it's not a good idea to boot it up without some kind of cooler...
