Hello Community,

The storyline for Amnesia: The Dark Decent intrigued me and ever since I find myself trying to pinpoint the genre that mixes medieval times with futuristic/supernatural/horror themes. Does Lovecraftian Horror match this description or Amnesia: The Dark Decent?

I would like to find other games or movies that are similar to the storyline of Amnesia: The Dark Decent

I think H.P. Lovecraft stuff is usually set in the 1920's-1930's with supernatural/demonic/otherworldly stuff going on. This usually results in someone going insane.

There is a PC game Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth which is said to be good.

Other games to check are Penumbra series and maybe Scratches.
