Hdmi Port not working with graphics card.

My graphics card port is not working correctly same with motherboard.
When I plugin the hdmi in the graphics card there is no signal and
when I plugin the hdmi into the motherboard it takes a few trys to get it to connect to monitor.

I have a gtx 680

I would take a flash light and carefully inspect the pins on the HDMI cable the pins on those cables are so tiny a little bend or shove can cause one of those tiny pins to bend or possibly break, also check your bio's, I had a gigabyte motherboard and the thing would take like 1 minute to detect the hdmi cable but if you look for things like dvi dvi-d sometimes switching it from dvi-d to dvi will help your video card detect the display. If you gave me details like on the bio's you have seen with the cable plugged into the motherboard I could give you a better answer. The manufacture would be nice to
