Hey people. My PC is just completely dead, I was on last night and it just randomly turned off and now it don't come back on. When I do power it up only the power supply comes on, but the CPU fan, and GPU fan don't spin at all.

I've checked all connections and nothing is loose of outta place so I realy don't get it, I've taken the little round battery out for 30 odd secs and tried that way but still no luck. It's as if the entire motherboard is just dead.

Any reasons you can think off as to why?

Try removing all but one stick of RAM and then turn it on, if it doesn't work do the same with the others. That just rules out RAM being the cause as it can cause problems like you've described.

Hey mate, I only have 1 stick of RAM lol. I forgot to give specs so here they are;

CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 3.2 Ghz
GPU: AMD 6700
PSU: Corsair 430W
RAM: 2GB
I'm not sure what the exact motherboard is but it's gigabyte.

I've had it for about 3 years now, and although kinda old it does play high end games pretty well.

It has been turning off randomly for the past month or so. I really didn't understand it, the temps were always good CPU being about 70-80 and gpu 40ish during high playing time. The PC would just force restart randomly. Now when I turn it on only the CD rom and power supply seem to respond.

I tried taking out the GPU and using the intergrated one but still no luck :/

Hmm I could try that, but it really does sound like the motherboard is just dead, as nothing on it responds. I've had it for about 3 years now.

I would also say PSU because the dead motherboards and CPU's I've seen, the fans will still spin whereas with a dead PSU nothing at all will happen or the PSU fan will just spin. If your PSU has only one 12V rail that makes it especially prone to failure.
