I just ordered the following parts for a system upgrade:
- Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail
- HIS HD 7850 IceQ X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H785QN2G2M)
- Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
- Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU)
Along with this, I will also install me old dvd drive, a high performance stata 3 drive, and a high capacity stata 2 drive.
Different online PSU calculators are shooting a wattage requirement range between 450 - 500w.
The PSU I have at the moment is a XCLIO GREAT POWER X14S4P4-750W ATX12V. Its 12v rail (probably a single split rail) has 4*12v/18a connectors. Its stated wattage from the 3&5v connectors amounts to 180w.
This supposedly amounts to 570w from the all important 12v rail. According to the logic of other posts that I have read, the combined 12v ampage should amount to 47a (570/12).
To me, this appears to be enough for my system specs - but the local assembler is insisting on selling me a new PSU "with at least 20a on the 12v rail".
I would greatly appreciate if someone would kindly review my numbers and logic and provide me with an independant opinion.

(ps: like the system? yeah I know I should also upgrade the OS HD to SDD but I do not have the cash at the moment - it will be a future upgrade).
