PCIe RAID card with 6 or more sata3 slots

I am looking for a PCIe RAID card with 6 or more sata3 slots for my freeNAS server. Any suggestions?

    I couldn't figure if it had the adapter cables it needs, you get 4 drives for each port...
  2. Won't you use ZFS?

    If so, you want a host bus adapter, not a raid card. Much cheaper and what you really want for a ZFS pool.

    Yes I am. If something like this exists then this is what I need. I am only interested in connecting my HDDs with the system and not for the RAID.

    You should look at THIS post and follow the links -- it discusses the cheapest and best adapter around at present for your purposes, the IBM M1015, which is quite a bit less expensive than the equivalent branded LSI card. Just insure that it will work with your motherboard and that you get two of the correct cable like THIS if .5m length is enough for your box.
