Hello guys I'd like to hear your opinions and suggestions for my new pc
basically its an all around rig gaming, workstation, photo and video editing
i don't mind the budget but i need the pieces would be worth in spending
quality=money if you know what i mean

CPU
i7-4770k (yeah i made it as a choice because i do some photo and video editing)
i5-4670k (made for gaming right?)
either way i can choose between the two right?

MOTHERBOARD
Asus ROG Maximus VI Hero Motherboard - ATX, Socket LGA1150, Intel Z87 Express Chipset, 2800MHz DDR3 (O.C.), SATA 6.0 Gb/s, RAID, 8-Channel Audio, Gigabit LAN, SLI/CrossFireX Ready, USB 3.0

MEMORY
ddr3 1600 or [2400 mhz (OC)] 8gb and 16gb
corsair vengeance
kingston hyper x
g. skill ripjaws
g.skill trident

STORAGE
SSD
Samsung 840 pro, OCZ vector, Kingston HyperX 5k or Cosair neutron GTX
HDD 1tb (any would do but if you could give me some brands i would appreciate it)

VIDEO CARD
Nvidia GeForce GTX 690
AMD Radeon HD 7970
Nvidia GeForce GTX 680
Nvidia GeForce GTX 670

CASE
This is where im blanked (i prefer a mid-high tier cooling capability because im gonna live in a humid/hot area)
3 choices im a design freak too so i hate fugly looking cases

POWER SUPPLY
Im blanked here as well i don't know what to get
if you could give me 3 choices to choose id appreciate it

OPERATING SYSTEM
doesn't matter windows 7 or 8 (ignore this)

Thanks in advance ! :D

Solution
On the GPU suggestion I was factoring in voltage, heat and in particular price - I sort think it's far over priced, suggested the 770, as better pricewise/ power wise and it outperforms the others listed

CPU if in budget, the 4770K you'll love with the photo/video, Mobo is my favorite (used it for my Haswell), DRAM I'd go with the Tridents (I've already run a wide variety of GSKill sets on my Hero from 1866 to 2666 and 8 to 32 GB,,, no problems with the Tridents (and plenty of OC headroom (took them up to 2800) also used a variety of Ripjaws (X and Z models) and Snipers, all were fine and could OC above spec), like the Samsung SSD, wide price range there in GPUs, think I'd stray from your options, and go with a GTX 770 or maybe 780 if in budget, for cases I the CM HAF line...for PSU I'd look to the SeaSonic PSUs 550-600 should suffice, as to the rest - ;) I'll take your advice and ignore it, but will offer you'll want to throw in a third party CPU cooler, might look at the HYper 212 EVO ($35), great cooler with either CPU up to 4.6 or so

aint the 690 better than the 770? the only thing bad for 690 is the power consumption right? as for the cooling parts beside the case and the hyper 212 evo what else do i need? i tell you our place is super hot xD like humid hot

PSU: Seasonic make the best power supplies but charge a premium for it. Most XFX PSU' have seasonic inside but just a rebranded outside so they are decent and most Corsair units are good.

CPU: The i5 is great for most people but for you a i7 sounds like the best deal.

GPU: I would get a HD 7970 atm, the price is perfect and they are just as good as a GTX 770 in almost all situations, sometimes one beats the other but not much in it so either a HD 7970 or if you want Nvidia go for a GTX 770.

Memory: Doesn't matter really, just get the cheapest half decent make. The speed only makes the difference in benches anyway.

HDD: I would go for a western digital black caviar, the only HDD to come with a 5 year warranty or if you want to cheap out go for the blue, not much difference just price and a 2 year warranty.

SSD: The Samsung 840 Evo is the best for the money, but the 840 Pro is ever so slightly quicker, if you would notice a difference in real life I don't think so. The Pro does also have better memory that will last longer but I think by the time the Evo dies you will upgrade anyway.

Case: That is preference on your half. What you want cooling or silence it is totally upto you and I can't give you any answers on that.

Do you think its a good idea to buy both ssd and hdd?
What i'm planning to do is buy a 250gb ssd for the os and 1tb for games
or vice versa? ssd for games 1tb for os?

Whats the cheapest decent ssd?
between the things i listed?

as for the case i would prefer it being cooler i don't mind the noise whats the point of getting silent ones if your computers gonna overheat you know what i mean? anyway if you could suggest both silent and cool that would be great :)

Go for which is cheapest normally, but if there is a make that is say $20 and has a much better cooler get that. Look at some reviews of the make to know what is best, although some are rather bias that is why I go for the cheapest. I have a Sapphire and Msi both are decent but my MSI was second hand, has a better cooler (The Sapphire cooler clicks like mad when it gets hot) and runs quieter and cooler.
