Hi all,

My girlfriend recently turned my pc power off from the wall switch, since then i have been getting sudden blue screens on windows randomly while working. Thing is is installed a new HD on the pc around the time (maybe 2 days earlier) and lately I am just getting freezes on the pc instead of blue screens forcing me to power off by the pc power button which i don't like doing. Does anyone have any clues?

PC is:

Intel I7 3770K
Main HD (since I made pc) = 0CZ smart HD Flash
New HD = Some Hitachi of 300Gb not sure exactly.
GPU = NVIDIA 680GTX
Power = Corsair 750X

Thank you in advance for any help.

I would verify Windows files to ensure that the sudden power down didn't corrupt anything. Open a command prompt (type cmd into windows search bar) and then type sfc /scannow which checks your files. There are also other useful programs that check HDD health, hiren boot cd actually provides a lot of great programs: http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd

Might also help running memtest 86 to test for memory abnormalities. This tends to be the most common issue when it comes to random BSODs.
