I am about to build my first computer today (when the parts get here). Should I update the bios before I start or just leave it alone?

EDIT: From what I understand about the USB flashback on the mobo, you just plug in a USB (FAT) with the file on it and hold the flashback button for a few seconds. The name of the file is "SABERTOOTH-Z87-ASUS-1405.cap" (without quotes). I just need to put that file in the root directory of the flash drive and the mobo should take care of the rest.... Is this correct?
