which CPU is best i have the choice of these 2 only (KEEP THAT IN MIND! dont ask...). im stuck some say the intel is better but some say the 8350 with a 990 board crushes the 4770k i dont know im confused i need a good complied answer because i dont know where to turn to anymore thanks (ps im going to be using this for gaming ALOT and rendering videos for youtube and im using a GTX Titan 6GB G-Card) thank you

Solution
Well the i7 4770k is definitely not worth $150 more than the 8350, however I am inclined to recommend the 4770k since you are going to be using another overpriced component the GTX Titan

thanks for the reply

If your main use is gaming and editing/using video software your best performance will come from the Intel. each have their strengths but in combination with a Titan the Intel will allow better FPS for games and the Hyper threading on the I7 will give the boost for multi-threaded apps.

For rendering, depending on your program and OS...the 8350 can be quite a bit faster clock for clock. It all just depends. I chose the 8350 because a 15% increase in single threaded performance (which I rarely use anyway) is not worth the 70+% increase in cost for the Intel...

For gaming, the 8350 is more than adequate.

The 8350 is *never* faster than the 4770k clock-for-clock. It wins in some things stock vs. stock, but a 4770k at 4.0GHz obliterates an 8350 at 4.0GHz. And single thread performance is way more than +15%, more like +50-80%. If Intel had a mere 15% single thread performance advantage, then no one would ever buy it.

Actually, using Gentoo, the 8350 destroys the 3930k clock for clock when you compile using the proper flags.

The 4770k isn't even close in that race.

Good try though.

On the tests I did the 4770 is about 50% faster than the 8350 single threaded at default speeds. If you want a cpu that will work well with everything go with Intel. The fx 8350 has good potential, the problem is many programs and games aren't optimized to work well with that particular architecture.
