What would be the best RAM for the following? The latest games, Playing old console emulators (fully aware emulators don't require much when it comes to RAM but still), but also have the capability of doing some minor video editing thinking along the lines of videos ranging from 480p to 720p that are about 10 minutes long. I am having a very hard time deciding which one to go with would like to stick to 4 modules adding up to 16gb

There is no need to get faster than what your motherboard can use.

What mobo and CPU, for what you say, if you have a newer mobo you sure won't need 2400 or faster sticks....and if you want 16GB if the mobo supports it go w/ 2x8GB vs 4x4GB, less stress on the MC (memory controller)
