Strange power loss in pc

I have a strange problem with my pc. I thought it was the power supply but now im not so sure. The pc will randomly and totally lose power and restart, no warning or blue screen, in the event viewer it says it was a kernal power problem to do with a device not responding. Now when this happens. all my peripherals work apart from my usb wireless adapter, I have to remove it from the port and plug it back in, is there any way this could be the cause? I can go hours without a crash or get them many in a row, its driving me insane.

  1. Check that you have the latest drivers for mobo (any all), latest BIOS and latest driver for your wireless adapter
