Hey guys, i've recently been having issues when playing minecraft. For some obscure reason, it will work fine for a coupe minutes, then start lagging a ton, having a bunch of random lines and colors, then the screen goes black, and it says the conneciton to the card was lost but then recovered. Any suggestions? I've already tried editing the registries, messing withe the minecraft settings, and updating the drivers. I have a Nvidia Quadro FX 5600.

By the symptoms your describing it sounds like either a driver or a bad card issue.

question: is the card OCed at all or is it at stock settings?

to test the card use OCCT. use there GPU test with error checking ON. while the test is being performed do not use the PC as it will give a false positive. let the test run for 1 hour. If it errors it will say on the screen in the top left. If it detects errors there is a card issue. This could be a bad driver, bad card, bad Overclock. but this will help narrow it down to the component or software giving the issue.
