Hi,
I am planning to buy a graphics card with more power and less cost. I am running my system with ddr2 sets, but every one saying that Graphics card doesn't matter with the memory of your mother board, you can put DDR 5 in DDR2 slots. Is that right??? can we able to use like this... please suggest me and also the graphics card for CRYSIS 3 like games...

Thanks!!!

Solution
Agree a $100 card is not going to cut it for any of those games. Save your money and get at least a HD 7850/7870 or you will just be wasting your money for nothing.

As said above the type of system ram will have no effect on the GPU ram.

To help you further though please list the rest of your system specs
CPU make/model
Motherboard make/model
PSU make/model

Depending on what PSU you have you might have to upgrade it also to be able to handle a new GPU.

RAM does not affect your graphics card in the way that you think. Graphics cards have their own integrated memory (also known as GDDR). Graphics cards are placed in your PCIe lanes, not memory channels. Depending on your budget, a Radeon 7970 or GTX 770 are two excellent cards.

your best bet would be save up a little more and get a 7850 or a 7870 they will handle the games your after at exceptable fps those cards you listed will be unplayable on crysis 3, best to just save up that little bit more money and reap alot better rewards hope this helps :)
