Hello All, I've built a new computer this week for video editing and used the Phanteks cooler because it is rated as the best air cooler.

However, I'm worried about high temperatures and whether or not I have installed this cooler properly. I use HWMonitor and CoreTemp to monitor the temperatures and on average, all cores are 35~45 C on idle. On 20~30% load the temperatures go to 50C. I also run the Prime95 test for an hour which reached 80C before I stopped it (no errors though).

The cooler is set up as follows (arrows are airflow):

<--fan in the back of the case<------cooler fan[radiator]<--cooler fan[radiator]

Are these temperatures normal? Or should I tr to re-install the cooler? I'm worried about what the temperatures will be when I actually start video editing and the CPU load will increase.

The CPU is not overclocked, yet, and I have used the thermal paste that came with it.

P.S. the cooler fans are also very loud. There is very little space between the cooler fan and the fan in the back of the case, I was thinking maybe they are getting in each other's way, but maybe it's just the way the cooler is.

Thank you for your reply. Other than idle temperatures being a little high, the rest of the temperatures are approximately normal?
