I have purchaed a top end Sony Vaio laptop that came with a 750 GB (5400 rpm) hybrid (SATA) HDD with NAND Flash Memory for cache 8 GB.

Is it possible that at a later date i can change the HDD to a SSD when prices come down and average capacity goes up. Will there be any 'fitting' in thelaptop issues at that time and what happens to my nanad flash memory or is it integrated in term of size and shape into the current HDD.

You will be able to upgrade with no challenges. The NAND is self contained in the 2.5" Hybrid HDD. You will be able to replace this easily with a 2.5 inch SSD.
