Hi there

This is my first post on here so I hope I'm putting this in the right place :/

Anyway, I have a major problem with my computer at the moment. Whenever I lose a race on burnout paradise ultimate box or play for about a minute on medal of honour (both games are through steam) windows crashes and when I attempt to validate the game data cache, windows crashes. When I run a whole computer virus scan windows crashes when it gets to the steamapps folder. Also I was transferring approximately 15GB of data onto my 1TB WD Caviar Black HDD, windows crashed.

My specs are:

i5 3570k @ 3.40GHz
ASrock Z77 Extreme 4 Motherboard
8GB Mushkin Frostbyte Ram @ 1600mHz
120GB Intel 520 SSD
1TB Western Digital Caviar Black HDD
Seasonic M12 II Bronze 850w PSU

I am running Windows 7 64bit Home Premium

Hope someone is able to come up with a solution

Cheers

The first thing I would do is to make sure all drivers are up to date, if so then if possible run a memory tester, such as memtest.

Thanks for the fast replies guys :)
I have just run memtest86 for about 50 minutes, and it completed its pass with no errors what so ever, which is very annoying
I forgot to say in the first post that I also attempted a defrag of my 1TB drive which crashed windows too.

When it crashes everything freezes and I cannot use the mouse or keyboard, I cannot get into task manager and no matter how long I leave it wont come out of that state, its not a hang;

Hope this helps...
