I will finally be getting a new gpu tomorrow and had a question about installation process, specifically concerning drivers. This will be a brand new graphics card on a brand new desktop that has never used anything other than cpu integrated graphics. Should I have the drivers installed somewhere before I put the card in or should I wait until after it's on the board and windows sees it and everything?

Solution
If its an nvidia card, it should be plug and play to some degree. Most will install a driver that is saved on a rom that is installed on the card, while it may not be the newest it would allow you to use it easily and if needed get the newest with little issues.
