Hey guys, I just bought a gtx 780 to upgrade my system. I was wondering how I go about swapping out the cards and upgrading the drivers. Do i first switch the cards then the drivers? Or delete all drivers, then install the card, then update? Or is there a recommended way of switching cards? Thanks for the input and I apologize if this is a noob question

I uninstall drivers from add/remove or sometimes just uninstall from device manager. shut down/pull old - add new/reboot/let windows find card and then install new drivers. no need to mess with driver uninstaller programs.

Hello,

Heres the best way to fit your new GPU.

1) Go to Add and Remove programs and uninstall alkl the Nvidia products which will include drivers
2) Power down your pc remove the old card and place in the new one
3) When you boot up windows will use a built in video driver to display your screen
4) Head to Nvidia's website and click on Drivers. Once here run the auto detect and it will give you the driver for your new card
5) Run the install and let it do its business.
6) Your all ready to go kill Romans
