Hi everybody,
I have written on this issue before, and everybody has helped a lot, but I still have no solution
In the Total War Series, the amount of flickering that comes from shadows, particularly as noticed from trees and bushes, but also from units, is just out of control. This phenomenon only happens when there is movement.
It is really noticeable when you fire up the Shogun II Tutorial for the Campaign as the game zooms in or when you start the Rome II Prologue - the trees flickering with the movement wildly.
I have fun every imaginable 3DFX, OC Scanner, etc, test and I have no artifacts on my card.
I have tried checking the power supply. I have tried changing the video card.
I have the latest GeForce Drivers. I verified the cache for my games on steam.
I even tried downgrading the OS from Windows 8 to Windows 7 to check for that.
My video card / monitor are 60hz and I have vsync on. i have also tried it with vsync off.
I have tried turning off shadows entirely or putting them on low.
Nothing I do causes this graphic issue to go away. I would appreciate any help anybody has as I find it so annoying as to ruin the game enjoyment for me. Thanks
