You can play minecraft at more than 100fps just disable vsync, however that will not be the case with battlefield 3 and crysis 3, you'll need to set lower settings to be able to hit 60.If you play at 1080p and max settings you'll only get about 20-30fps. I know this because I have an HD 7770 and that's the bottleneck for your proposed system. consider the HD 7850 or even the GTX 650 Ti Boost to get solid 30 at 1080p

Yeah those parts really aren't going to get you where you want to go. Whats your budget, what do you play, how much do you play, etc.? Read how to ask and give specs of your parts like, psu, ram specs etc. And no you will not be able to play on ultra @ 1080p with everything maxed. You might be able to play @ high with FXAA enabled.

Well an i5-xxxx (k) version of anything is what you want. K is for an unlocked multiplier, this will allow you to get more performance out of the chip. There is a 7870 myst edition card for 187 bucks, its an open box. There also is an open box 7850 for 112 bucks. Get a graphics card with 2gb of vram, you will need it. Look for open box deals on newegg, tigerdirect, try microcenter if you live near one :) What is your total budget for your pc?
