moved system to new MOBO, fan blowing at 99%!!!!

what did i do wrong, everything else seems to be working ok, just fan is blowing at full blast, the CPU fan has 3 pins and socket has 4, did i put it onwrong 3??

I answered this on the first post of the duplicate...

BIOS CPU fan PWM control may not be on. This defaults the fan to 100%.

Go into the BIOS of your new MoBo and make sure the CPU fan is set to Auto or PWM. It is often under the PC Health section where it reports voltages and temps. Consult your MoBo manual BIOS setup section if you have trouble finding the setting.

yeah i opened it up and looked, the cpu fan is out of control however there is no other way to plug it and it IS in the right spot, so im gonna try to find the bios, thanks for suggestion
