Hi guys,
i have just bought my new Corsair H100i(Liquid CPU cooler) 2 days back and i have Gigabyte sumo alpha case.
The problem is radiator doesn't fit well anywhere in the case.not on top vents not on back.
i had fitted that after a little modification but its not mounted as it has to be.
its my first time with a liquid cooler and i'm mind fucked because of installation thing and think to get back to V10(cooler master air cooler) or something like that.
plz advise which liquid cooler is compatible with Sumo Alpha and is the liquid cooling more then 40% better then Air cooling?
Thanks

Solution
I don't know what water coolers will work for that case but you will not see a 40% improvement using a h100i over a competitive air cooler.

The water coolers are necessary when you are trying to get a significant overclock for your CPU and keep temperatures below the max threshold. If you are wanting to do a moderate to high overclock you could get away with an air cooler especially the V10 or noctua cooler.

HI,
Thanks for reply mate.
First of all....NO i'm not going to do any kind of overclocking coz the applications and Games i'm running my rig is handling all of them very well. Somehow i'd installed the H100i and getting 25% better results then air cooling.
This is my first time with liquid thing so i come to know tha liquid cooler is not a thing that put your rig's temp below 20c but ye after doing stress and torture test i understand it decreases the idle temp 10 to 15 degrees but the main function of liquid cooler is to prevent temp to get high enough and that works for me either way.
After buying the Sumo Alpha i realized that its a overkill also.:( but not that bad....
Temps are:-
idle cup :30C avg. 51c tops while torturing with prime 95 for 12 hours and 53C while testing on OCCT 4.4.0
GPU idle temp:28c Avg. and 65C tops while gaming ,While not after gaming .... fan on full rpm 24/7 of gpu.
Suggest if any gpu liquid cooler is there in the market.
Plz tell me if my Temps are good or not . my room temp is 25-30 in day time and 22-25 in night time
