Once I have my pc fully built, how do I setup my fans speed and what not so I don't have to worry about them? I don't want to have I sit there with a fan controller and adjust the speeds every time my computer is under load or back at idle.

Is this even possible with a water cooling setup?

Which would you recommend, T-balancer or fan controller. With a fan controller do I have to buy fan splitter cables? and how does it monitor the temperature on auto settings?

setting them by hand with a fan controller is not as bad as you may think as you will have them just set low for most of the time browsing internet watching videos and what not, if you get an asus motherboard you get pretty neat software asus alsuite that comes with fan xpert II which will control fans connected to your motherboard let you set different profiles and very extensive control of the cooling, there is also speedfan http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php its not as polished as fan xpert but its free software that can be used to control fan speed and monitor temps

I have an Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard. Will I be able to get fan xpert? And how many fans can be used on this? Because with my watercooling setup there will be like 12 fans

yeah fan xpert is free software on the motherboard cd or you can download directly from asus website, it might be a push to get 12 fans off that motherboard its got 1 cpu_fan connector, 1 cpu_opt fan connector and 3 chassis fan connector, you will need fan splitter cables but i wouldn't be too inclined to put more than 2 fans on a header but there is splitter cables that split more than 2 fans, if its in your budget the asus maximus vi formula motherboard which has connections for watercooling the mosfets has got 3 chassis fan connectors, 3 opt_fan connectors, cpu_fan connector and cpu_opt fan connector, i have 11 fans set up on it and the fan xpert actually turns off fans at low temperatures bringing my system to whisper quiet

Fan controller, T-Balancer have stopped production, the only ones I can find is one that controls 2 fans for £28.99. What I'd do, is hook up all the radiator fans to the PSU, and all the non radiator fans onto 2 or more fan controllers (but of course still using up motherboard fan connectors).

I was thinking I will put the fans from my quad rad on the motherboard, and i will control all of the chassi fans with a phobya touch 6 fan controller

Do I have to buy any fan splitter cables or anything?

Well aside from the CPU fan header, I believe my Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard has only 3 fan headers for chassi fans, so if I'm putting my quad rad fans on the MoBo I think I'll need at least 1 fan splitter cable won't I? I will put my other 8 fans on the fan controller

he said his putting 4 or 8 fans on the motherboard from his quad rad on his watercooling set up theres not eight headers or even if he just uses 4 fans he would be better off with 2 fans on cpu header and 2 fans on cpu_opt header which requires 2 fan splitter cables
if he wants to use a fan controller he can but he has previously said his using 12 fans so he may need to use fan splitter cables with a fan controller too as many fan controllers only support 4 or 5 or 6 fans
I personally have never seen one support 12 fans but that doesn't mean there isn't one

Alright thanks, hopefully my Phobya touch 6 fan controller can support up to 8 fans without any splitter cables as well
