Windows Recognized All Memory but Intel XTU Does Not

I recently decided to make my secondary computer a "project computer." You know, something to play around with.

I gutted the old case and moved it into a new case with more expendability. Now, Windows sees the 6GB of RAM installed but Intel XTU says "Total Memory installed" as 4GB.

Anyone have any insight as to why?

Seems to be good. Haven't checked with XTU yet. Every couple of restarts I would get a long beep. Figured RAM. Reseated it. Sometimes the boot sequence would recognize 6GB and sometimes 4GB.

Long story short...the third slot needed some more "muscle" to get the catch to "snap" into place. Since then 6GB every time. New RAM should be here in a week anyway.

This is my "other machine" that I use to play around with. Next up...overclock the CPU AND Crossfire/SLI two 7950's...

Love the site. Has helped through some interesting times. Until next time.
