I have an i7 3770k and my temp is at 60-70 Celsius, is this normal for Intel i7's?

I want to buy a 212 EVO this weekend and I was wondering if it'll fit inside my case even if it's on top of the CPU and whatnot.
My case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

More about : cpu fan temp

That is within normal ranges for Intel CPUs.

The 212 EVO will generally fit into most cases unless yours is a bit on the small side. If you have an ATX mid-tower case you should normally be good, it's a bit taller than stock cooling rigs, but works very well.

I was planning to get the H50, is that better than the 212 EVO?

No, if you put 2 fans on the 212 EVO, you'd need to go to something like the H80i to actually see an improvement. The H60 is about on par with the 212 EVO and dual fans.

Wait is this temperature when idling or is when full load (e.g. CPU test).

The 212 Evo is a good CPU cooler (a very common and rated air cooler which performs better than the H50).

If you want to get a liquid cooler then get the H60 Hydro series or go one up and get the H80. The H60 on my AMD chip keeps it cool but for an i7 getting a good aftermarket cooler is recommended.

The EVO should suffice if you're not overclocking.

I wanna overclock.

Then look at the H80i or Kraken X40
