Ok so I have have been using my am fx 8350 OCed to 4.6ghz with no issues for te past 4 months, using prime 95 I only hit 51C max. So today I wanted to see how far I can push the chip. First I went to 4.7 and prime 95 ran for 12 hour with temps max at 54c, now I'm on 4.8 ghz an 3 hours into prime 95. The issue in having is that hw monitor and CPUz are both telling me my cpu is jumping from 4822mhz to 10247 MHz. How the hell is my cpu reaching 10247. Every program in using is saying the same thing and prime is running perfectly. It only stays there for a few seconds then jumps back to 4822. All my settings are correct. Most of the time though its on 4822 so. And my max temp is only at 57C

It's nothing to be worried about. there is no way that the CPU is reaching that frequency because that would be 10.2GHz.

its just a random error in the programs reading the correct CPU frequency from the motherboard.

That's what I thought but when I ran prime 95 at 4.7 ghz and 4.6ghz it was working fine. It was showing me max 4.7 ghz and 4.6ghz.
