CrossFire Load Issue

I have 2 7970's in CrossFire and the 2nd card is constantly under 99% load. This occurs when I am on the desktop with no other programmes running. I have verified the load figures through GPU-Z and CCC. The first card is under no load at all. Just wondering if anyone knows of a fix.

System Specs:

CPU - FX-8150
MB - GA-990FXA-UD7
RAM - 16GB G.Skill DDR3 @ 1600MHz
GPU - 2 x PowerColor HD7970
OS - Windows 8
GPU Driver Version - 13.10

Solution
Looks like AMD hasn't gotten around to fixing this issue that they noted in their 13.8 beta 2 drivers. Darn, and their driver development team is usually so good at releasing prompt fixes for things like this.

Known Issues of The AMD Catalyst 13.8 Beta2 Driver for Windows:
•CrossFire configurations (when used in combination with Overdrive) can result in the secondary GPU usage running at 99%

I didn't remove the 1st card, just unplugged the power connectors and removed the XFire bridges. I'm running the 13.10 beta drivers.

That is exactly what's happening. Games still run fine, but I'd rather not have the 2nd card running at 99% on the desktop.
