Going to get an external HDD in a couple of months anyways. I changed it to a XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply. Is that better?

Yes, good choice. High quality, and good at energy efficiency with the 80+ Bronze rating.
Keep in mind... if you ever want to add a 2nd gfx card, you'll want to replace the PSU for a larger size, however. 550W is more than enough for the specs you list, but adding a 2nd GTX 760 in SLI will warrant a larger size PSU.
