I was wondering if it is possible to crossfire a sapphire 7770 ghz edition 1 gb with an asus 7770 2 gb card, or would this screw with the display output. Please and thanks in advance.
Just get the same size card as you have right now the make of the card won't matter just make sure with amd card they are both the same chips because amd went down in price a while ago because they were able to make the chip a lot cheaper
Why don't you just sell your current HD 7770 and get a HD 7870 XT? Less heat, less power consumption, and no Issues with Crossfire or the risk of having 2 different memory pool sizes.

Thank you for the responses I will get another sapphire 7770 hd to crossfire it, i dont need extreme graphics and i could do without spending the 200-300 dollars on a single card.
The HD 7870 Ghz will run you anywhere from $170-200. It's better than buying 2 HD 7770s. You will hit a Bottleneck with the 1gb VRAM. Shoot, even a HD 7850 is a better option because of the 2Gb VRAM.

Imo, crossfire HD 7770s is not worth the trouble. This is coming from someone who ran GTS 450 SLI.
agreed. not to mention lower end cards like the 7770 perform poorly and stutter more in crossfire, and often have problems keeping up fps when scenes get tough. Sell your 7770 and get a 7850/7870.
