What's the difference between the different variants of the ASUS p8z77-V motherboard?

Hi there,

I'm building a PC for gaming with a Core i5 3570k and a GTX 760 and a Crosair Vengeance 1x8 GB ram @ 1600 MHz.

I've decided on an ASUS p8z77-V motherboard since Many recommended it and I liked the fact that it has 2 PCI Express 3.0 ports (in case I get a second VGA in the future) .... the thing is there are many variants of it (LX, LK, LE Plus, Pro, etc....) and honestly I'm quite confused about which one should I take .... what do you think?

P.S Any suggestions about the parts other than the motherboard are quite welcome too

As for the motherboards the best bet would be to read up on what they do and do not have and pick the board that has the features and price you want/can afford.

As for your ram you would be better off with 2x4gig sticks of ram since using just one stick will not give you the performance that two sticks would with dual channel ram.

first of all thank you for replying .... The thing is I'm oblivious in hardware matters "aka a noob" so reading won't do me so much good ... as far my limited knowledge goes, I limited my choice between the the LK and the LE plus variants since they have 2 PCIE 3.0 slots and the PRO version is out of my budget range .... The LK got lots of bad reviews so Le plus it is but yet again there are some bad reviews about it on newegg.com mostly about SATA controllers and corrupted MoBo sensors (here's the link if you got nothing better to do :) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-131-848&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=1#scrollFullInfo )

By the way, Thanks for the tip on the RAM
