Something is making my computer freeze please help!

Can someone help something is my pc is making my computer freeze like im getting really tired of it! been happening for 1 month and a half please help!


Here is my pc specs

CPU:Intel Core i5 3570k

Motherboard:AsSUSTek Computer Inc. P8Z77-V LK

GPU:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 ti

Ram: 8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3

Wi-fi adapter:ASUS PCE-N15 11n Wireless LAN PCI-E Card

  1. Have you done any overclocking? If so, go back to default for a while and see if that stops the problem. Then you'll at least know what the cause is and we can take it from there.

  3. Have you tried running memtest on your ram? That's the next thing I would look at.

    Have you noticed any pattern for WHEN it happens? Only when gaming for example?

    Nope how can i do that im a noob at this :x

    Well when i game it sometimes freezes and sometimes when im just surfing the internet with one thing open.
  5. I forgot to ask if you have tried updating your bios and drivers for your motherboard too.

    I did for my motherboard that stopped the problem for like 4 days then it started again

    Including updating your bios?

    If your bios and drivers are up to date, then go ahead and try memtest. Here is the memtest page: http://www.memtest86.com/index.html
    Here are the instructions on how to set it up. http://www.memtest86.com/technical.htm
    Run it on one stick of ram at a time.
  8. Also, take a look in your event logs to see if you get any clues there as to what is crashing.

    Yep i updated my BIOS and alright ill try the mem test
