New GPU blocks SATA port. Used different port, computer will not boot Tags: SATA Computers Boot Port Motherboards Last response: September 14, 2013 1:21 AM in Motherboards Share abouttreefiddy September 14, 2013 12:11:12 AM My new 7950 blocks the SATA port I was originally using for my hard drive (with the OS on it). I plugged my HDD into a different one and my computer will no longer boot; everything seems to be running fine but my monitor remains blank. My motherboard is an MSI 760GM-E51 (http://us.msi.com/product/mb/760GM-E51.html). The port I was originally using was the upward facing one (similar to the one pictured here http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h312/bobbydamm/PC006....). Thoughts?
