Hey Everyone,

I just installed a new heat sink into my system and when I started it up for the first time it gets stuck on the "Windows is Loading" screen. It won't book in startup repair mode. I have tried safe mode and that works. What could my problem be?

Thanks

Well that solves that problem. You most likely plugged your drive(s) back into the wrong ports and Windows can't find the drive the OS was installed on. You will need to reopen your case and plug the cable for your HD into SATA-0 (boot drive should *ALWAYS* be plugged into SATA-0), and then reset the BIOS to default and that should do the trick.

Do you think I should reset the CMOS? Will that fix my problem? Thanks
